Default Immediate Payment Required

A while back I responded to a post on the immediate payment required seller tool. I said I'd never buy from someone using it as you need to link your account to buy. Now I'm finding the shoe on the other foot as I'm using it myself on a more expensive item. The question I have is whether or not using the "immediate payment required" for buy it now will cause or increase the chances of your accounts being linked? Apparently you have to show paypal as your preferred payment preference, and of course enable checkout. Does anyone know if offering the immediate payment option for buy it now will just be a trade off from risking a nonpaying buyer to the much worse risk of linking accounts? Or is that only a problem if you're the buyer? Thanks
