Gentlemen,
there is no need to debate the possibility of Paypal & Ebay exchanging information.
Below is a quote from an email sent by PayPal after I got suspended from eBay.
"......
How we share personal information with other parties
We may share your personal information with:
Members of our corporate family (these are companies owned by our parent, eBay Inc., such as Shopping.com or Skype) to help detect and prevent potentially illegal acts, provide joint services and for other business purposes. However, these corporate affiliates will not use this information to market their services to you unless you have approved it.
......"
It's official. It's 100% clear.
On March 10 I got suspended from eBay.
On March 11 Paypal writes to me to remind me of their privacy policies.
What got suspended on March 10 was a backup account, which was connected to a prior suspension in NO OTHER WAY, but through a non-primary email address at PayPal.
And I don't think this sharing is new. It must have been happening since ebay acquired Paypal. One of the goals of acquisition may have been information access, for all I know.
