Only quickly skimmed the posts but I think that there are hassles because of the way the accounts have been created. If the paypal was done first & fully verified B4 being added to the ebay account, there would not have been problems.
| Yes, perhaps I did set up the account the wrong way around. Basically I set eBay and PP up at the same time. I didn’t think that would be an issue as I’ve done it this way around before, but I guess these things are always evolving. Quote: |

| I’m not sure I explained this well enough – this is crucial. I mean that when I tried to submit my Direct Debit form on the PP site (ie clicking “confirm account” to get PP to put in the two deposits), the form already had a number of details pre-completed, such as the account number, sort code – and “my” name! After seeing that, I did not proceed with the confirmation and no deposits have been made. Quote: |
ok is this a solution? to call/email and say, sorry I put my business name on but now I want to change it to my personal name, dont mention d debit form issue, they will say send us proof of name to a different dept and he sends something in with actual name on, they change name on account and then continues with bank stuff

Im not sure calling and asking them if he can establish a pp account will work, p still hasnt done his penny deposits, all pp will say is go ahead and press button and do them, if he questions the name on dd form they will say, why whats your problem with that, its your name isnt it?
| This is my worry; unless I come up with an explanation as to why I have a problem with the name on the DD form, I’m not sure what reason I can give for not going down the “normal” route – ie just clicking the Confirm Account button?
