I’m not sure I explained this well enough – this is crucial. I mean that when I tried to submit my Direct Debit form on the PP site (ie clicking “confirm account” to get PP to put in the two deposits), the form already had a number of details pre-completed, such as the account number, sort code – and “my” name! After seeing that, I did not proceed with the confirmation and no deposits have been made.
| AH. So this is the account that you had troubles with because of the paypal glitch? Likely 'your' info is there in the paypal sysem: try the confirmation steps. THEN if that does not work, you already have 'the record' of 'your name' to speak to them....follow what I mean. You have been thrown off by the name being there as a result of the paypal problem> Quote:

This is my worry; unless I come up with an explanation as to why I have a problem with the name on the DD form, I’m not sure what reason I can give for not going down the “normal” route – ie just clicking the Confirm Account button?
| sort number & account number should work OK so pressing confirm as I said above could fix the problems
