AMAZON-Showing delivered but customers do not have their items.
Hi all,
I have searched pages for an answer on this. I have been having more and more emails from customers who ask me where their item is because tracking shows delivered but they do not have their stuff. I am getting more and more frustrated because I choose to not insure the packages since the value is not high and most obviously make it without an issue but this could add up if I would to refund every missing package.
Some have opened A-Z Claims and got their money back from Amazon. Amazon states they see no reason why this is my fault and refunds them but I know they will not like that if it happens often.
I am confused how to write back to the customer properly and basically say HEY THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO for you!
Any of you have been getting this lately? any suggestions?
Thank you in advance and HAPPY SELLING :-)

Amazon will actually do this quite often for you a long you as followed the guidelines and you are not at fault. But try calling the post office and let them know about the packages. Someone should investigate for you and get back to you.

If you really said this, your account will not last long on Amazon.
Contact the post office and file a claim. Ask buyer to contact their post office also. Be professional, nicely ask them like anyone else in the house, check with their family members to see if anyone had received it?

On what grounds could you ever say that to a customer?
You as the seller should say I have sent your info to ..........(Delivery people). I am asking for a full fraud investigation to be carried out on our behalf. Records show delivery of ............. ) insert item descpription). We can work together to track your items.

Nothing is wrong with Asian name. I just saying I was targeted by scammer ring who bought items and declare not received. Maybe was not even their real names but this ring 3 different people ( or maybe same guy with 3 stealth acct) happen to use Asian name.
My intent was not to offend anyone and I apologize if you saw it that way.

That is why I said I DO NOT WANT to say there is nothing I can do, I never did , I am always nice but it is getting to me. It does seem to be similar item, there are few variations of it and it always happens with the same thing. Post office cannot help much either, they say it was delivered then it was, as per Post office officials.

If these are priority mail there is automatic $50 insurance coverage. You need to open a claim with USPS if so. You can open the claim online at USPS.com. It does take a long time for them to get to your claim - sometimes 2 or 3 months. But at least you are covered and it might stop the scammers if you tell them Feds will investigate the claim.
Honestly, in hundreds of transactions the only time packages were not delivered it was customer fault giving bad address or other problem. USPS has been 99% reliable. OK, maybe they have delays - packages are late more than I like but they always eventually get delivered.

Yeah if the packages were all priority mail there would be no problem but they are first class. By any means I do not want to get away with anything or take less responsibility than I have to. I totally understand this if someone's stuff isn't there but honestly it happened way too much in the last 2-3 weeks when I have been shipping those same items for a year and nothing was happening to them.

If there has been a sudden increase in "where's my stuff" claims against you.then you may be dealing with some fraud. File a claim with USPS if you have to refund the buyer.

I had this same issue. Item showed as delivered and the customer claimed that they did not receive it. I emailed amazon and they said that the responsibility of the seller is to ensure the package is delivered. Once it is delivered you have fulfilled your obligation. This customer filed an AZ claim against me. Amazon immediately closed the claim in my favor and I had no issues. If you read the amazon terms and conditions, it clearly states you are responsible to deliver the item and they recommend a you purchase insurance for the item. Once it's delivered, you have fulfilled your obligation.
