I just started selling on amazon last week, so I pretty much have no feedback. This is what a buyer messages me:
I'm very looking forward in buying the **** ******** ********, and you seem to have all the ones i want at a great price. The only thing that worries me is you have no ratings or haven't sold no item.
Are your items/account legit?
Don't get offended by the question, am very catious.
Why do I feel like i am about to get scammed by a buyer who takes advantage of noobie sellers? Anyone had a similar experience when just starting to sell on Amazon?
OK, that's what I thought, but I like to be paranoid from time to time. Plus I never had this issue with any of my new accounts on eBay. So, I just wanted some opinion.
Thank you Binary!
i have a buyer a sellers account for this reason. when i make a new account i buy something from myself and give myself a feedback to prevent issues like this.
Just let the buyer know that you have sold a lot of items already but you haven't received any feedback yet.

It's a perfectly reasonable question. But if you have a bad feeling just don't respond. You can't need the sale that bad and it's not worth the stress.
Id stay away from this guy, it doesn't matter weather your item is genuine or ⊗⊗⊗⊗, if the seller thinks its ⊗⊗⊗⊗ its ⊗⊗⊗⊗. Its a really bad way to start a sale.

Then you'd most likely losing a legitimate sale in this case. The buyer mentioned in the OP sounds perfectly legitimate and is only concerned about his lack of feedbacks, which is completely normal if you think about it from his point of view. Only deny sales if the buyer is being extremly irrational and pushy about the authenticity of the item you're selling.
I prefer not to deal with these types of jerks. As buyer, the transaction is completely without risk as they can file a-z or do a chargeback. Yet he has the nerve to tell you not to be offended by his offensive question. The problem is you can't block a buyer on AZ. Therefore you can either pull the listing till he buys elsewhere or else play his game and hope for the best.
