Amazon Ghost guide up to date?
Hi guys.
Forgive me if any of this sounds stupid, but I'm not familiar with forums and have never done anything that wasn't 'by the book' before when opening accounts.
I was suspended from Amazon a year ago but with ebay flailing, I would like to get back on. My suspension was for selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ (branded) photography accessory goods. They were genuine but I was reported a number of times by competitor(s) despite sending proof of purchase receipts to Amazon from a major and well known (in the trade) UK supplier.
I've never quite understood the difference between being suspended and having the account closed as the account appears to still be open, but I can't sell on it which seems to defeat the object of leaving the account open, so I find that confusing.
My question is, I notice the Amazon Ghost guide is a few years old, written for the American market presumably and I know that Amazon have changed things recently. I've also read that a lot who have opened stealth accounts have been pretty quickly banned again. So is the guide relevant today? I'm pretty skint at the moment so don't want to spend money if it isn't going to do the job.
I'm also concerned about how difficult it is likely to be to get a stealth card in another name. I can't even get a credit card in my own name!
Is this genuinely feasable and relevant for 2014? Thanks
