I'm thinking about going over to Amazon. Ebay is too restricted with all the selling limits.

Mix it up and for amazon, don't get married to an item.

Same concept but Amazon takes tracking/linking much deeper.

It is a pretty modest fee IMO.

Amazon and ebay are totally different beasts. For almost all of my items, ebay is far and away better but the items I sell on amazon dont sell well on ebay. They have very diferant search results as well. Very hard to find items sometimes do well on amazon just because of this reason. I also have very few overlapping buyers. People who buy on amazon seem to buy there and vise versa on ebay.

Someone had some data showing sales on ebay vs amazon and it shows Amazon taking the cake. Not sure about the validity of that data though...

I see Amazon as a winner b/c I can get away from payment holds with paypal.

14 day payment hold is expected. Sometimes 45 days, if you grow an account they most always have a 30 day rolling reserve. Usually Amazon has 30-50K of my money at all times.

One more thing, lets say they hold 30k as a rolling reserve and next month you increase sales to 70k, they will adjust the reserve sometimes.

This is the number one reason I will not have a very large Amazon business.
