I just purchased a Vanilla Visa card at the recommendation of someone on the forum. I went to register the card online (I have an address and name) and they require a ss#. The person's name I am using is made up so I do not have this information. Does anyone have a suggestion to get around this problem? I have a company (LLC) that I have set up but I thought it would be better to use an individual's name for the card registration. Should I just register the card in the company name or will this be a red flag for Amazon?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

Get the prepaid card, not the re-loadable one.

Vanilla gift cards are good for stealth. Their prepaid cards are not.
If you are on Chex systems, try a second chance bank. Woodforest is one of them and they have many locations in Walmart stores. They don't care about mismatched names and are very forgiving about past problems.

You've been here for a long time now, running some sort of "business" and you still can't pay off your debts? What do you do with yourself all day besides asking for help to sell your cou.nterf.eits?
jeffweico, does this mean that the Vanilla gift cards can only be purchased at specific places? Do I need to be in the Chex system? Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question. I was going to buy the grey Vanilla gift card tomorrow as some have suggested but it sounds like it may be limited as to where I can buy it?

No, volcanoman. Chex Systems is what banks use to keep track of people who owe them unpaid debts. You NEVER want to be involved in that.
Sorry for the confusion.

just wanted to say thanks for all the help. I ended up buying a $100 Visa gift card (gowallet) which is grey and hopefully is what I need. I called up gowallet and they tell me the card is active and I can use it as a debit or credit card. I need to get a pin if I use it as a debit but I believe Amazon will take it as a credit card - at least that is the route I will go. Once again many thanks and if anyone has any comments I would be happy to hear them.

Just get your chex systems report mailed and try to talk them down, I owed chase about 650 they agreed to 150
Good to know. Did you ask them to put in writing that they would agree to take you off of Chex system? I am worried they will just take my money and not remove it. I was going to get an attorney involved

I haven't paid them yet but when I do I will get it in writing, but that's a smart move to get a attorney also just to be sure
