Hello.
I am a seller on Amazon.com.
I live in Canada so amazon automatically converts from USD to CAD when they send the disbursement.
I have now opened a US bank account so will amazon send me the funds in USD or CAD?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
The account is in Canada but it is a US chequing account. In USD Currency.
They will only send USD to a US bank based in the US. If you use this account they will send CAD to a USD account and you get a double whammy on exchange rates.
I have heard both, but do not know for sure if a U.S. account will work.
Can someone from Canada weigh in and let us know if a USD account will work, and if not, what % does AZ usually take for the exchange (paypal is about 3.5%)

If you entered the RBC bank account as the US-bank method (has been discussed before and on the internet), then you could receive funds in USD. Only way to know for sure is to do a withdrawal...and report back
i tried using the borderless usd account in td.the funds werent transfered and then when the transfer fails amazon deletes the banking details on file and sends you the error message
however i havent tried the us chequing account option in td
if you use a regular chequing account the last rate i got on a transfer 3 days ago was 1.19 approx.it will always be lower than the official rates
