Default Amazon suspension

Hi dear friends,

I opened a second Amazon account (Ghost account) three weeks ago and everything seemed to be fine. Even at the beginning, an Amazon staff who is in charge with category permissions, helped me kick start my listings.

This morning I received an email stating they have removed my selling privileges and put a 90 day hold on my funds due to this account being linked to another account which is being under review.

Below I have listed the information that I had changed or kept the same prior to and during using the account.

CHANGED: IP Address, Bank Account, Credit card, Name, Address, Computer User ID

Kept the SAME: 90% of the listings (over 40 different items), Computer.

I would really appreciate it if you could share your expertise. Thank you

90% of the listings being the same stands out there to me

And the computer being the same, you think that could trigger it?

If you re listing the same 40 you need to add at least 200 dummy stock items to mask your 40. Question, are these 40 items unique to you or generic.

You could add a 30-40 other random items and just price them very high so no one would likely buy them. Like 12pk of gel pens for 35.99

Also maybe be careful with wording that is very similar to your old listings if it is descriptive.

jboone, the common consensus regarding mixing old stock and new is between 1:5 - 1:10 ratio not 1:1. This will link you.

Not sure if this helps, however my client has never been banned and sells his own brand.

He sells all his items on his main account with legit information using all FBA.

His 2nd account he sells only 2 different listings, he branded outside of his main brand and then on all of his regular listings but with no FBA and at higher prices, using a different computer, IP, address, etc.

His 3rd account he sells 5 different branded items than his main brand and then some listings he sells FBA on his main brand, some items used on his main brand that he ships, and about 2-3 of his main brand listings he didn't put a listing on this account.

He was never suspended and banned and none of these accounts have been linked in 2 years.

I think they track you once are banned?

Also, to note, we have a wholesale distributor so many marketplace guys also pull on his listings, so some listings have 40-50+ different seller accounts, maybe thats why SP can't identify his stealth accounts.

I think you were linked via your computer even though you used a new user account.

Back in the Amazon Ghost days the advice was to change the MAC address on the machine before setting up a new amazon account. Not sure if this information is still correct but I still do it every time.
