Activity: 0% Longevity: 50% | | Amazon tax verification process
Hello everyone
My personal account was suspend from amazon 3 years ago and i never give them my SSN.
I open a llc and use ein number to register as professional
When i do the registration process amazon send my to the tax interview where they ask my name and last name.
I worry to add my name since the will most likely link to my suspended account.
Its possible to register only the company name without putting my name on it ?
Another question is that i have two name and i could i use only one.
Like for example if my name its Jean pierre guettiere i could register as jean guettiere or Jean guettiere?
What you guys think ?

I need to pass the tax interview and they will ask my name and my last name
What i should put there since i was suspended before?
Also for the credit card verification its possible to add the company info ?
For examble my name is John Carl Guettierez
i create the company Called Carl guetierrez llc and i create a debit card with CARL Guetierrez llc. name
on the tax interview they ask my company name and my first and last name
should i do like below:
Company name Carl guetierrez llc
First Name: Carl
Last Name: guetierrez
On the credit card verification i will add this
First Name: Carl
Last Name: guetierrez
Can some tell me if this is correct ? or i should add my real name on the tax interview?

OK...
First of all, Amazon CANNOT see the name on a credit card, so no worries there. YES, You can leave out one of your names and it will probably fool Amazon, especially since you never entered your SSN before. But you can use a completely made up name as well.
While Amazon will ask for your name on the tax interview, if you are giving them an EIN for a BUSINESS ACCOUNT, then the information they send to the IRS for verification is just your BUSINESS NAME and your EIN. In this case the IRS will match the records that way. They do NOT verify the individual name associated with an EIN for a multi-member LLC - which is what most people use for stealth.
And, you do NOT have to set up the LLC first. You can get the EIN without actually having formed the LLC. That way, if the account goes down quickly, you can just cancel the EIN. If it looks like the account will last, THEN you can set up the LLC. That way, you do not spend $200 for the LLC without knowing if it will work out or not.

This will not work if I open a single member LLC? I was thinking of doing single member.

The problem is the new address. Since the bank required ein number and llc documents to release a debit card.
I was searching all over the forum but couldnt fine any answer how to get a credit card with the new virtual address i already bought.

Originally Posted by cast76 This will not work if I open a single member LLC? I was thinking of doing single member. | I have read conflicting posts about this. But the SAFE THING is to do a multi-member LLC. Or at least check off the box on the IRS site saying it is a multi-member LLC when you get the EIN. Clerical errors are clerical errors.
The thing about a single member LLC is that since you would be the only beneficiary, it is considered a "disregarded entity" for tax purposes. I do not know for sure if this means the IRS will verify with the individual name you supply them or the business name. Again, I have seen posts claiming it goes both ways, so I have always used the multi-member option.

and if I don't have another member to add to the LLC, can I just make up a name or I would need full info for that other member, like social and stuff?

single member its more risky i think
you can select partnership in the tax interview even if you have a single.
This way they dont verify your full name.
So i think you could put a similiar name like jeff instead of jeffry with you exact last name .

I wouldn't file any false documents. But the other member could be anyone you know and they could own 1% of the business as a silent investor. Or your mistakenly check the box for Multi-Member on the application for the EIN. Many people who file do not know the difference. If the IRS ever asks about it you could say that you made a mistake and correct it. Since it does not change you tax rate, it is not a big deal to them. And if they correct the mistake it is no big deal, since the account is already verified.

correct ?

thanks a lot for your help | Amazon will chck the name of the BUSINESS against the EIN to make sure they match. The IRS, in this case, will NOT verify your real individual name, only the business name.
And Amazon cannot verify the bank name, they are only verifying the routing and account number and the fact that the account is an active account.

Did you know if amazon can link account by checking the llc online personal name and last name.
Here in florida anyone can see public records of you full name and business address and since my full name was banned they can check it in 30 sec online
Any suggestions?

A multi member can/may be better for tax reasons but it make no difference for stealth.
For some reason some members keep thinking that a single member LLC is the same as a sole proprietor and they are not.
The multi member verses single member has to do with tax implications such as self employment taxes and legal issues such as in some states how the charging order is handled.

Any suggestions? | Anyone can look up the owners of all companies in 49 of the 50 states and most companies in the 50th state as well.
Amazon can look up the owners IF you give them a reason to but at that point you will be suspended anyways. It would take a potential law suit or significant debt collection for them to do that.
