I received this message upon setting up a fresh Amazon seller account and completing tax interview and phone call verification:
"Error

What are some possible causes of this? I don't think I have filled out the tax info for Amazon before or atleast in the "wizard" they're now using, not sure if I made a mistake, maybe that's what they're rejecting or are they linking me to a previously suspended account? What's likely going on here? Account linking? Problem with tax info? Payment method problem? It's been a couple hours and I never received an e-mail from Amazon about account linking.
Also, does Amazon link tax and/or bank account info? I had my original account suspended years ago for no good reason and then registered a new one in a different account name but using my personal banking info and the account worked for much of 2014 until it finally got suspended (December 2014) because they said I was not shipping when labels were printed (no customer complaints). In retrospect, I'm aware that printing the shipping labels and waiting until the next day to ship was a mistake but it's surprising how long the account lasted and I didn't have to worry about mixing my IP address with other banned accounts.
