Default MC010 Your eBay account is restricted

I'd made two new stealth accounts a few weeks back, verified myself by phone and bank/credit card details. Then as soon as I list something (literally within an hour of it going up) they've suspended me and asked that I call them.

"Before we can allow you to continue selling we need to verify some information with you."

What kind of questions do they ask? Everything is stealth so I want to be prepared if they ask me what address I have down etc but what else do they ask? Had numerous stealth accounts previously without this happening. Thanks!

Have these been just a MC010 or was there another notice?

That was the only notice I received besides the listing cancellation due to the initial notice, never happened before.

Had you changed anything by way of account creation?

Run thro' the steps if you could.

Define the type of item listed and state of paypal?

Paypal was all confirmed, no transactions though. eBay account was made about a month prior, listed a couple of DVD's. Didn't do anything different - new number/address/everything - nothing changed at all.

DVDs could flag you.

Still not discussing steps - IP? New window user accounts? Those are worth noting. DVDs can be considered high risk

I've done the exact same thing numerous times before without issue. And I took all the steps that are in the book, yes IP, new user accounts etc, nothing was linked.

What kinda questions are they expecting to ask when I call anyway?

Take a deep breath and don't worry. Exact same thing happened to me earlier this month with my new stealth account.

This probably happened b/c eBay could not verify your stealth information in their database. So to them, yes, they want you to call and verify.

All you need to do is call them with a phone number registered in the same area code as your stealth state. This can be done using Google voice.

Once you've verified your outgoing number looks like it is originating from your stealth area, call up ebay support.

Have all your stealth information available to answer their questions.

My experience was luckily, a breeze. The CSR agent mentioned they are doing this on all new accounts. She didn't even ask me any account related questions, only asked what was my intention on selling on ebay, in which I replied to "sell some things i have around the house"

I was very polite to her and at the end of our convo, she bumped up my limitations to 15/$1000 (was 10/$500 i think). I thanked her for wonderful help.

Tips:

1. Be very polite to the CSR. CSR agents are people too (yes, i know, shocking).
2. If you get a CSR agent in a bad mood, hang up and try again later. Be persistent.
3. Have all your stealth details handy in case they do throw you a curve ball question

Yep have all stealth info in front of you call from the number you have on the account and never say your drop shipping always say the item is in your possession and you are working on the account alone

Good news, called with everything in front of me, he was surprised they'd suspended a new account but then just confirmed my phone number/address/email/name etc and that was it, restored. Kinda silly but simply fixed if they're going this route now - thanks for the help guys!

In terms of ebay OZ suspension notices, this one can be fixed more often than not.

The choice is for the seller to call or not.

Well Done.

Glad it was resolved and you got it working. Now you need to roll up your sleeves and follow the stealth guide. Creating the account and getting it verified is one thing, maintaining the account is what tests your stealth skills.

Hi guys, I just experienced the same issue. Am I able to call with a mobile? Or it's better to call using a landline? Thanks!

Always call from a mobile device. Use a forwarding service, such as Google voice.

So can I just call with a mobile phone with no google voice? Just a fresh new mobile number?

Ok I just called them up, and they said there are some information they can't verified which they need to provide them some documents.

They going to send me an email with the requested documents, what would they ask for?
