Default Do pictures matter?

need to know if i shouldn't use my same backgrounds for all photos under my new account name.

ebay restricted my selling indefinitely just about 2 weeks ago. I usually take photos of all my items at my boutique which has a very cute background for photos.

Since im creating a new id and need to start selling right away should i not use the same background when i take pics for the listings now?

I thought about it and was just wondering if they'd notice similarities. Or are they only concerned with registrant info, etc.

Thx

Recommendation is to take new pics with new backgrounds and delete any information stored on the pictures.

Better to use a new background. Make sure all EXIF data is deleted.

They sure do matter.

I have many different backgrounds set up for different accounts.

Hubby set me up a photo place for things like this in my garage and at the warehouse so I can flip the colored material over to the one that fits what I use on that particular account.

I have probably 100 different background colors to use.

Go to wal mart that has a material section and buy the size you need to have some different colors in your backgrounds. Also find spots around your home you never used.

Pictures paint 1000 words.

Each account you have should have a different personality.

Therefore take pictures to mirror that personality.

Whether different color back rounds, outside, inside, etc.

Different pictures, background and - as has already been stated - strip out the EXIF data! EXIF data can link you!

Thanks you guys for being fabulous and helping me with the photos....i am ready to set up my new account but before I even log on from my new laptop what about connecting to the net? I have the 4g clear stick and at home AT& T wireless. So i want to know if all i need is a new laptop or do i really need to change my internet service? This is the last thing that was stressing me out.

You don't need a new laptop, here is a quick rundown of what you should do before logging into new stealth:

1. Create separate user accounts (this is so each account has desperate cookies, ect)
2. Establish a new IP, Log each IP change if you plan on having multiple accounts

If you can't change IPs with your current provider(s) you need to find a provider that will facilitate this process.
One method we recommend often is a USB Modem (dongle).

To add to the advice already given, you must appear to ebay to be a new you.

It most certainly means new photos, new wording. jeffweico addresses that.

Then to help you, make sure you record everything too.

ah, no.

we told the OP back in 2013 that it is better to have everything different.

Background should be changed as part of looking different.
