2$ Telstra sim cards not working anymore

I used to verify the sms requirement with 2$ Telstra sim card but they don't work anymore. Anyone can share a good alternative?

I used the $2 Telstra Sim Card to verify a few weeks ago with Paypal and used it again today to verify with Ebay and it worked no problems

I agree with the first post. The $2 telstra simcards need to be activated now before use.
Previous you could just buy the sim and use it to receive calls no activation.
I believe this is a new batch of the $2 telstra simcards which is why MtMess was not affected. I bought two yesterday. The sims have changed to green instead of pink and are disconnected until activated.

Hey guys - I go to woolies and grab a pile and as I am shopping I ring each number. If it says "this number is disconnected" you need to activate.

Only buy the ones that say "The mobile phone you have called is switched off"

I usually get 4-5 per trip =)

Only the ones with expiry date less than April 2017 work. Time to figure out a new method, probably some app or actually paying for the phone :\

What have you tried so far? I am about to go to Woolies, as you mentioned April 2017 all my cards have expired and now I need a new number wahhhhh

I tried skype and it's working but they can't receive sms messages so can't verify paypal...
Does anyone know how to receive an sms to verify paypal?
