What do you consider to be a better option?
I agree that many VPN and proxy are overused, it was a mistake to suggest this, VPN (especially from big companies) may be unsuitable for this type of activity. I think VPS is the best option because:
1. companies that offer only VPS will have less likelihood of their IPs being spoiled since they are used primarily for server hosting, and they aren't shared among among many users like a VPN.
2. using a VPS will eliminate the risk of your real IP leaking due to browser exploits from javascript/flash etc.
3. VPS is pretty cheap too, a 512MB linux server is enough for web browsing. can get one for like $5. good comparisons at: Compare VPS hosting plans - comparevps.com |
