only issue is I have trouble getting bitcoin converted into $$$ so I can get it in the bank. Conversion fee's are high cex.io charges me about $500 to get $6,000 worth of bitcoin into cash wired to my bank.

I am not a seller of Bitcoin but would not be surprised if we trade below $800 for a short while. Parabolic spikes cause sell offs and those who chase trends get scared out on the way down. If it hits low $600 I will add to my position.

If you have issues with accessing your account, you can have hassles.
Overall Coinbase is good because of its strict practises.

Yes, because it's not tangible like Gold & Silver. At least these two have a 1,000 yr track record. If another cryptocurrency mysteriously appears and takes off it'll destroy Bitcoin, and you will lose funds, or if the internet crashes you're done. With Gold/Silver you can pass it down to the next generation, can sell it immediately during emergencies and get funds right away. If the dollar ever collapses good luck buying bread with bitcoin.

Virtual currencies have definitely got a place in the future.

Government/Conglomerates will not sit back and do nothing if the internet crashes - its in their own interest to ensure this money machine is up and running at all times.

Precious metals are without a doubt the most secure way of storing your money, history has shown this. But for the purpose of investment and trade, currencies such as bitcoin, USD, GBP are better as not everyone accepts Gold at checkout - otherwise it would be a PITA constantly having to convert it to a tender accepted by your local supermarket each time you wanted to spend.

The point is, spread your eggs out - don't just put all your money into one currency. We've seen many times currencies becoming valueless.

Bitcoin seems to be holding up nicely above $1200 and $1150 for now. Interesting to see it climb up slowly but surely.

Long term I think it's a good hold.

I'm thinking of getting the trezor wallet for safe keeping bitcoins.

Bitcoin to another record high. ETH touched $70 for a while. Many other Alt coins such as Dash and Ripple have been surging as well.

Crazy times.

Yea Parabolic spikes always create a pullback. I got in at first at like $18 when Coinbase first accepted it then it crashed to like $9 and I got in at like $11. Had no idea it would spike like this. Just know when people 100x smarter than me are all interested in this crap its time to take a speculative position.

Waiting for bitcoin to dip again (and it will, it always has done), then going to invest in it.

So far came across Bitfinex for btc trading... though platform seems complicated/laggy. Anyone know anything better? (p.s. not interested in CFD).

I just started making my 3rd ETH mining rig. I am making pretty good returns, about $11 per day after power cost per rig. The only factor now is if the building power can handle the amps. I might need to check out a office space or commercial space if I get over 6 rigs.
