Re: how to manage returns on a stealth
I know that a lot of my 2-cent-solutions sound like I'm the captain of a sinking dinner boat who still wants a good Yelp review, but this again is one of those things where I personally go above and beyond with the refund option, whether it's a scammer, jerk, or just a legit problem.
Giving them the option to keep all the money or such a steep discount that they will be too tempted not to keep it as is, often not only simplifies things and keeps them happy (for when they leave FB), but also keeps you from having to give an address for them to mail it back. A lot of times when they open the "return request" thing, the sl6+th address pops up in there, and it's not something you can alter once they open the return. Sometimes they are directed (or choose) to send it to E+by and then THEY want an address from you.
Plus, when you add up all the losses you take over the course of a year doing it this way, I'm sure it's still a very small percentage of what it would cost to open and maintain the cheapest of address solutions.
Of course, if you have higher dollar items and serious partial refunds are not something you can live with, and address might be worth getting just for this reason.
So if you ever buy from me and even hiccup during the transaction, prepare for a generous partial discount.
