I used IPBurger for a while but I'm now realizing that it doesn't show the correct ip.
For some reason when I check with IPBurger it shows a completely different number than majority of the sites that show the correct ipv4 number.
Is there a reason why IPBurger is not showing the correct ipv4 anymore?

Hmm, I'm not seeing any issues but if you can send a screenshot or other details to support@ipburger.com we can look into it. It could be a caching issue but I doubt it.
*we recently updated the website so it may have some bugs at the moment
If anyone else is having issues feel free to contact us and we'll look into it.

*we recently updated the website so it may have some bugs at the moment | Its really odd.
For example: years ago when I used IPBurger, my IP would always be "107.72.162.999" but now ipburger shows "107.77.216.999"
As of right now, Most websites like, whatip, ipchicken, whatismyipaddress, all show the 107.72.162.999 ip, while IPburger shows the 107.77.216.999 address.
Even when I change my ip, all of those sites will show a 107.72. ip and IPburger will show a 107.77 ip.

With IPBurger you can Lookup IPs which a lot of people find handy. |

Definitely not trying to bash ipburger, as that's my go to site. Just trying to make sure I'm looking at the correct ip when switching between eB accts.
Maybe it has something to do with mobile tethering? I've never had any issues before and its the exact same phone and service I used years back. Just confused now because I remember IPburger used to show the same IP those other sites are currently showing me.
EDIT: When I google "what is my external ip" I get the exact same IP as ipburger. That is coming from google's actual support site since I don't see a link.

If Google is showing you the same Ip address than it doesn't sound like IPBurger is the issue.

Because if I use my home network, everything is okay. All of the websites show the same ip, including ipburger.
When I'm tethering my phone, Google and ipburger will give me an ip, while all of the other websites will give me a different one.
**I tried to change the title of my thread, you may change it if you'd like. Not trying to show any negativity to ipburger.

It gives me the IP the other websites are giving me, not the IP i'm getting from IPburger and google. I'm using AT&T mobile tethering.

No worries. Something is definitely off somewhere, but I don't think IPburger is at fault.
It's just very odd. Thanks for the quick assistance though aspkin. Grade A service.

iPBurger is Aspkin's site...? Cool! I didn't know that, makes me want to switch to using IPBurger now.... Since other people know this, I think I need to read more sections of the forum, obviously I'm missing out on a lot of info.

So has anyone else been having this problem with mobile tethering? Specifically on At&t I'm assuming.
whatismyip.net, google search bar, and ipburger all give me the same IP
BUT, when I go to infosniper, whatip, whatismyipaddress, and some others, i'll get a different IP address that I used to get when I tethered for previous years.
All of these websites claim they are showing my current ipv4 address, but I cannot understand why some show one ip, and others show a different one.

I'm using tmobile mobile hotspot. When I use ipburger and whatismyip, it gives me my IP as a form of mac address (2607:fb90:....) about 32 characters long. When I use whoer.net, it gives me a physical IP address that we are all used to. What's the difference and which one do keep track of?
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

| I would recommend keeping a track of the IP whoer.net shows since that IP is most likely the IPV4 which is what you are use to seeing. On a side note, the IPV6 is not technically wrong....it's just in a different format.
