Will opening a DBA help me in the long run?

Is opening a DBA here in NJ and opening a ebay and paypal account with a new name (first and last name as suggested) maximizing my chances of succeeding with a long term ebay and paypal accounts? At that point the only way they would be able to catch me is if i used the old computer i had with my old ebay account or used related info, Is this correct? With the addition to a EIN number so that Paypal doesnt place a hold on me I should be ok right? please advise

If you have already used your businesses EIN number then doing a DBA would be pointless as you still have to give them your original companies EIN thus creating a link regardless of what the name (DBA) is. I have found that eBay is very generous with policy violations when you are a business versus ESP being a regular seller. Using an EIN is the way to go in my opinion.
