Default Phone and tablet

Hi,

So in order to run my new eBay Stealth i will have to use my phone and tablet.

My current phone and tablet was used for my band account, they are both android products and the gmail email on the phone account is the same email as the banned ebay.

What i would like to know what can i do so i can use the for my new stealth account. I dont want to do a factory reset on the phone.

I have removed all PP and ebay apps

I would change the gmail account on both,

Use CCleaner

Clear all history on chrome but then add fire fox

Would that be ok??

Factory reset them. You need to start from scratch as far as a new Ebay, Paypal, and Gmail account.

I am so sorry but you are wrong with this.

The factory reset does NOT restore these well enough to use on a new account.

OP: info is inaccurate.

A new account can not use that phone again without being linked.

Do not make an account until you are 100% confident all will be OK.

Forget the phone and tablet for now while you learn stealth OP - deal with a notebook/laptop computer that has not been used as yet....

I'm I missing something? Is there something different with android rather than iPhone when it comes to a reset? I've had no issues.

I haven't had any issues but I also have an iPhone. I would think it works the same way on Android but judging by what these guys said I May not know something.

When I first started out my Ebay/Paypal account was banned. I reset my iPhone completely. I started from scratch (fresh Paypal/Ebay accounts) I didn't install any Paypal or Ebay apps back onto my iPhone. I use the Safari Browser. I also have a jetpack I connect to whenever I log into the account from my iPhone. Some people say IP addresses don't matter. I'm overly cautious. Only my biggest account is on my iPhone.

The best way is to use a computer and use different computer user
accounts. You may want to invest into one.

Don't try anything until you get more clarification from an Android user on here. These guys have been here longer than me so they have more experience. I can only tell you that I've been successful with what I've stated above.

I've seen people claim that the EB and PP apps records various serial numbers off the board or other components in the phone.

I'm not technically versed enough to know if this is true or just paranoia.

I do know most people say not to reuse a device.

Android phones and tablets are dirt cheap, why risk your hard work and investment, just buy another one.

So let me explain something.....The Apps record certain or specific information from your Phone. Saying, "I'm ok so far" is not a guarantee you will not have a problem later. If people like taking risk that's fine but please don't use that to guarantee others that they will be "ok". The point of this forum is to minimize the risk...not to give people a false sense of security.

I know that if i add the app again it will get liked because the apps do allow a lot of information to be shown but i thought if your using fire fox web browser it dose not let this information show? I cant change my phone as its only a year old and the items i sell i need to be on line most of the time. are there other people on here that have done a rest and then started using there phone for new ebay account without issue????

There are far too many who have been around much longer than you, you have found they got linked.

That is why I took time to let you know your method might have flaws.

Yes I understand that. That's why I'm asking what is it that I don't know? Can you please tell me where the flaws are so that the op and I can be educated?

Thanks for taking the time out but we need to know what we need to correct. I think he knows a cellphone isn't the best option but it sounds like it's his only option right now.

I don't want to lead this guy in the wrong direction so that's why I'm asking for clarification. I understand you guys have been here longer than me so I'm not trying to overstep my boundaries here so educate instead of just saying "Don't do that. Your method is wrong" please.

@mm78 I don't use the apps. I said that in my post.

I may be new here but I'm no noob when it comes to technology. I work full time for the Sheriff in my county as an I.T. Network Admin. I setup and control everything computer, network, and security related. Once you get the basics of stealth it's nothing hard.

If this guy does a full OS reset on both his devices, doesn't reinstall any of the Ebay/Paypal apps, uses a fresh mobile hotspot for IP's, and uses Safari browser to log into his brand new fresh accounts he'll be fine.

Now if you know a secret of how Ebay/Paypal has found a way to breach security to see a device's MAC address, serial number, or any kind of hardware information while not using their apps/after a full OS restore then you need to share it please.

Good for you, but no one here called you dumb or computer illiterate.

Let me explain something, on this forum we try to keep things simple.....why? because not everyone is a tech-God like you. Also, it's daunting having to repeat the same information over and over and over.

When you install the apps, you are agreeing to ebay/PP gaining access to the devices UDID and other information that is stored on the device....there's no secret.

@MM78 Again you're stating redundant information. We both know not to use the Ebay/Paypal Apps. So they can't collect or store anything.

LOL, That's what this forum basically does.....we state redundant information....OVER and OVER....AND OVER. You obviously haven't been here long enough to know that but if you do stick around, you will see that is what we do, repeat the same damn information a lot.
