I have an eBay account that is not stealth, Only has $500 a month limit so far I’ve sold 6 items on the account, was wondering if I called eBay would they ask questions to increase the selling limits?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
Yeah but they are really easy questions. Stuff like "what types of things do you plan to sell?" and "do you have the items you're selling in your possession?"
ok, i will give it a go, thought maybe they would ask security questions from public records.
They may want to verify your information, i remember trying to do that a couple of years ago and they wanted to verify my identity by asking questions of public record
To increase your limits they'll more than likely ask questions from public databases.
But you say this account is not stealth so I assume it has your real info - so whats the problem with that if it does happen?

Hit and miss. Like mentioned, sometimes they just ask about what you plan on doing where you get your stuff. Other times they do ask who you are and confirm with public records. Maybe just pretend you got disconnected. Your chance I guess. 500 isnt much. Id sell a few more items and let them see you have a good track record.
Mostly requests to public databases (except maybe last centuries phonebook) aren't free and takes some time to check you up. I doubt they can compare any data with public databases while they put you on hold for a minute or two.
Ha! i experienced being asked with public database questions, e.g. present address. I did hang up and call again and again, until i find a good rep. He didn't even ask anything, he just increased my selling limit right away :D
