A Way around selling limits - worked for me.
 

One account was put on a selling limit, I had several items listed all BIN when one sold I would go and simply relist that item.

Well, an item sold, and I went to relist it and it informed me that I was put on a selling limit of X amount per 30 day period.

So I was a little upset but oh well.

Then an idea hit me, I have items still up, can I revise those items and just change the quanity available.

Sure enough, eBay doesn't think of everything.

If you still have BIN auctions up and they hit you will a selling limit, you can still change the Quanities available on your BIN auctions, therefore you can keep revising and adding more as they sell.

Maybe this well help a few out.

You can do that, and then you won't be able to sell for 3-4 months after those items ended. Believe me, I tried. They will count the sold listings against future months quotas and only when the quotas are correct, you will be able to list again.

self destruction (on ebays part). How long before buyers stop coming to eBay? any projections?

If sellers are hit with limits, this will drive prices up and then i t becomes pointless to shop on eBay. I cant see this practice being in place for a long time. ebays behavior is self destructive, is this not grounds for a law suit from individuals that are invested in eBay.

Simply not true on my account, once the 31 days were up, on the 32nd day I was able to list again without the restriction message.

That must be a country difference between imjustme and unfortunatemistake. South East Asia often have tougher restrictions than other countries.

this is my first time running into ebay limits. just mean we have to open more stealth accounts. selling limit is $500 A month 10 items a month so 10 stealth accounts equal $5000 grand a month 20 stealth equal $10,000 etc

Well, in my case it didn't happen right away the next month, but about 1 month or a bit after. Keep in mind that the eBay bots first need to do the monthly review of the account, and when they see that you sold 50 items but are only allowed to sell 10 per month, they won't let you list for another 5 months.

Other posters may not agree with me on this, but check back in a month or two and it will happen to you too. Just some friendly advice, take it or leave it.

Im pretty confused with it as i have had this only once (on vero stuff)

Question for you guys.. I seems the selling limit seems to be on only certain categories like DVD correct? Are aged accounts with no feedback (around like 3 months + old) subject to this limit as well?

so basically if you have a selling limit of $5000 and if you put up listings with lets say 30 quantity and everything sold for over $10,000 that means you just wont be able to sell for 2 months? or once you reach the 5000 limit your listings are pulled?

From what I've seen on my own accounts, yes. Any account that has not been selling for at least 3 months is subject to 10 items per month.

My account is limited to 4 items per week. I have been selling for 2 years and have over 600 in feedback! It is just not new accounts.

wow this is unbelievable how is anyone suppose to be making any money this holiday season, ill bet you most people that will be selling are the ones that work for ebay.

I always make sure and have plenty of backup acounts aging so by the time I'm ready to use them they're at least 90 days old and don't have those limits.

What makes you think that 90 days is the magic number?
You account being 90 days old might help a little, certainly is no sure way to avoid the limits.

New Ebay Selling Limits May Change Ebay Forever

There is nothing 100% about the tactics used but 90 days allows for some monthly cycles to go through.

It's 90 days from the first auction listed now, not from the account creation date. eBay doesn't care if the account is 10 years old. If it never sold before, it will have the limits.

I guess it depends on what you're selling since I can list 10 items a day on all my new accounts that are over 90 days old.

I have read carefully that not 90 days old but 90 days from the first item sold. Correct me if I'm wrong

I try it before but doesn't work anymore for me

I have accounts that are 90 days old , which I start selling on after the 90 days, that I sell something like say software in unlimited amounts until I get a vero or listing pull then I open a second ebay user w/ same info, ppal etc. and sell the same item. Since it's less than 90 days it gets a 30 day limit, the 90 day old accounts don't get that.
