What if the buyer agrees to canceling the transaction?

If the buyer pays, then they can leave feedback.....doesnt matter if you refund the money, cancel the transaction or throw your computer up against the wall..........the feedback stays and always stays unless.....the buyer mutually agrees to change/remove it or it is removed by ebay....no other way around it.

Remember this... if you refund, then say a day later (or so) you open an unpaid item dispute and if the buyer doesn't notice, for example or sort out why you opened the case and 4 days passes the transaction never happen no feedback can be left... no transaction = no feedback

although that may be true, that is an almost sure fire way to get a negative comment.....and not good business practice.

You can ask the buyer to correct the feedback. 5 revisions for every 1000 sales.

There is rumor of a template for super ebayers (PS titanium) that have a "template" to get rid of any and all feedback that is negative.

Hello,
I sold an item on ebay. The buyer asked me to meet him in person but he never showed up. Then he sent me an email on ebay asking to cancel the transaction. After he accepted the cancellation he left me a negative feedback. I have the item right here with me, it was the buyer who didn't want it.
What can I do?
Thanks.

eBay state that they can only remove a feedback comment, without you sending a feedback revision request, if you come to a mutual agreement with the eBayer for them to remove their feedback. Now, in your situation this is unlikely so you won't be able to get rid of it. If you get the buyer to leave a 'follow-up' comment saying the problem was solved then they will remove the feedback, but again the is unlikely for you. Not much you can do really, I've had these problems in the past and unless you offer an incentive (not all the time) to those who wont budge, like a free item (cheap), then they won't change it.

i have a buyer that is just unresponsive. I offered her a refund if she revised her feedback and she has not even responded. What the hell am i supposed to do now. It has been over a week and no response. This buyer did not even have any business buying my item because she was in Alaska. But i said F it and paid the extra shipping costs and sent it anyway. Now she is unresponsive to any communication.

If you got paid that will probably have to be good enough. That's the way I look at it. If someone negs me and doesn't ask for a refund I usually just figure oh-well at least I got paid. What if you refund them and they still don't agree to revise feedback?
