I'm flirting with an idea i've had for a while. I'm considering hiring a contractor from odesk to complete all my item postings for me. More than likely this contractor will be based overseas (outside US). Seeing that my account is based here in the US and my contractor is based across the pond, will ebay become suspicious due to the location where the IP address will be tracked too?

Not sure if best idea having contractor will all your sales info...he would need US IP to avoid listing flags due to oversea IP...one part of the equation
I do this on a very large scale for loading tracking and listing on amazon.
The only way to do it is with a dedicated computer with remote access just as if you called into customer support for say Endicia to set up a printer or Dell to fix a problem. It will litteraly be listed on your computer and you can watch as things progress.
Good idea or bad idea is up for debate. I use trustworthy VA COMPANIES to do this with contracts in hand. I would not use a China agent or VA. Personally I like the Philippines or Canada. I OVER pay my VA by 25% as well. It is less than I pay a good transaction tech a day for a whole months service so why not. I train via screenshots and I talk to the lead individual on the phone and through skype from time to time to create a better relationship.
I do NOT give them access to paypal.

Great to hear qdo - perhaps local help but...I am not a fan of sharing business models with third party help (unless contracts and binding agreements are drawn up)
