How soon to request selling limits?

So I opened a new stealth account about 1 year ago with my fathers information. I bought my first item using that account about 2 months ago and I sold my first item in the beginning of March. Since then I have sold about 8 items ($900).

However, because I sell in electronics, I guess there is a limit to the amount of listings for that category. In the beginning I could only list 1 item per month, so after I reached it, eBay asked me to verify some information so I could create more listings. I said yes and they had me answer some multiple choice questions that I guess they were able to pull from the name. Really detailed stuff.

After that I think I got 3 or 4 per month now that I can list in electronics. It says that only after 30 days I can list more.

Is it worth it to call and ask for higher limits? Beside the category limits, is it even worth it to ask for more selling limits? I only have 10/1000 now.

This sounds like a legit account, just not your legit account? If you can verify the info for the account and you are not doing anything shady, then you should be ok. If you are doing shady stuff and/or you cannot verify personal database questions, then def do not call. That's my opinion.

No don't call in for limit increases, I know it's tempting but believe me many of us are doing stealth today because we called in and asked for limit increases, on our first accounts made in all our personal info

Stealth or not , this does not matter, and electronics is a risky category, you are just begging to be restricted from selling by calling In

Even if you have receipts , from a supplier that eBay approves which would be Walmart , Best buy etc.. And no online or Chinese suppliers, that would be instant death, you can hand every piece of info they ask but still be a risk and shut down

And electronics is high risk, so stay out of the spot light, also are you an authorized dealer of all your products, have written permission from each company that you sell there products and they have authorized you to do so? You don't need to answer, but this is all things that u will be confronted with, business licencese etc,,. And even if u have everything here is still a big chance u will be shut down

Thank you. I guess I will wait one more month until my 90 days of selling and see if that gives me higher limits in electronics. All the product is good. I'm basically just clearing inventory and selling stuff cheaper than normally to get some sales going.

Never call to request - just let the account grow naturally. Make other backup stealth accounts and let them grow

You could have had true stealth accounts aged and growing like mad by now and not had to use your Dads real info.

What happens if you lose this account and your Father ever needs it?

I have a question, if I called ebay to increase limits more than 3 times, and each time they just increase for me without asking any question, do you think I still have risk to ask to increase limit in the future

1 call is all that is needed to risk an ID verification - not recommended to call
