Default Ebay and paypal monthly/withdrawing limits

If ebay gives you a monthly limit of $1000, and lets just say for instance your item sold for $3000. Would they still let you receive your money? And also on Paypal, what do you all think the best amount to transfer at one time is? Would it be ok to transfer around $3000-$4000 at once? Please let me know your opinions

They do not keep your money, you just can't sell anymore that month....and if you go that far over limit...it may very well bring a problem on you.

Withdrawing that much money at once....it better not be a fairly new account....that too very well may bring a closer examination on you...

$3-$4k transfer is just asking for trouble.
Doing so on a brand new account will almost certainly land you with a limited account. And not the easy kind - but the one they request info on payments received, invoices, possibly SSN etc etc.
My recommendation? don't risk it.

Ok, but if $3000-$4000k comes through my paypal from one payment, and lets say i sold one or two things before that for $200, would they let the money even come through my paypal? And also if i received the money, would it be smart to transfer $500 a day or something of that sort

They could let the money be received BUT you may be limited right away...or when you try to transfer.

You should build your account to receive this kind of money

I'm pretty sure there is a 2,500 monthly limit on US Paypal accounts. If you pass it you get a soft limit. It usually doesn't happen instantaneously but you can bet on seeing it shortly after. I could be wrong but your playing with fire if this happens.

As long as you add a Bank and VCC than you lift all withdrawal and sending limits, if u do not add both than your limited to withdrawing $500 a month and sending $2000

Correct, but isn't there a limit to how much you withdraw monthly without getting a soft limit? Factoring in you have a VCC and Bank on file. I have never needed to withdraw that amount as I spread my sales pretty extensively.

I could have sworn I saw on this forum that if you say withdraw 2500-2750 you get hit with a soft limit. If I'm wrong then thats good news, lol!

No if the account is established beyond the 90 day point maybe 7 months to a year of great selling than you can withdrawal as much as you sell

I rather make 10 withdrawals throughout the day of $150 than one of $1500 though, this is how I operate paypal, I don't like to withdrawal, more than $150 and I had a couple problems ever with paypal and nothing where I needed to wait 180 days to get thousands of dollars

I find bigger withdrawals raises attention and causes limitations, so on a busy account I'll just make more withdrawals a day in smaller increments, and this way I'm always good with paypal
