Default I Hate ebay's Fast and Free

They seriously need to fix there delivery estimates , I just received a Neutral on a newer account with 200 positives and no negatives or neutrals

The Buyer said " received item 3 days after estimate and missed birthday"

They ordered and Paid on Nov18 and received it Nov24

I had advertised 2 day Handling time and Standard shipping, how does eBay put that stupid estimated at 4 Days , such a stupid defect over their fairytale estimates

They received the item in 4 business days , and that's not factoring in the 2 day handling time and they still left a neutral

The buyer never contacted me , I wish when they ordered it on Tuesday they should of said they needed it by Saturday , I would of only made the sale with overnight shipping because Priority mail takes up to 4 days now and that is how I sent it

They ordered Tuesday I dropped it off at the Post Office Wednesday Night and they received it Monday

When creating realistic expectations for brainless buyers, you first have to understand Ebay's formula for calculating delivery time. It is as follows

X= Your specified handling time - 1 Day

Y=your shipping class's time upgraded to the next more expensive class's quicker time

Z=1

X+Y*Z=Ebay's estimated time of delivery


Notice Z is a multiplier of 1. This is ebay's postal constant. This is because they assume that the post office delivers exactly on schedule and there are never any delays or packages that go missing for a period of time.

In the real world formula for delivery, this constant of 1 is a variable. It ranges from:

Z=0 (lost package, never delivered)

to

Z=20 (package takes 2 months to be delivered)

So now that we have had a lesson in ebaynomics. Lets apply the formula to your situation to see where you went wrong:

X=2 Days handling - 1 day

Y= priority mail upgraded to express mail

Z=1

1+1*1 = 2 Days to deliver time

Your customer expected 2 days delivery time based on ebaynomics.

Have you tried to contact the seller and explain the situation to them - as well as the importance of having this neutral feedback changed to a positive one? Maybe offer to refund their shipping cost or some other incentive to have them cooperate.
Depends on how important it is to you to have it removed I suppose.

That's I did not know. Thought if it was revised it doesnt show as a neutral anymore.

It was Free a shipping , they received the item in 4 Business Days only because I didn't take 2 days for Handling and I didn't use standard ups ground I actually shipped Priority and the feedback left said it was 3 days past

I mean it's cut and dry , the feedback is specifically about shipping time which can be seen based on date paid and Tracking, without factoring in handling time or anything else from date paid to date received was 4 Business days

The only thing is , I'd hate to call and have a rep find a problem and get the account shut down right before XMAS

I mean it's perfect right now besides that Neutral it's a TRS account

It just Aggravates me that I actually paid the shipping advertised 2 day handling and ups ground 2-10 days and I shipped next day Priority , it got there within the 4 business days as eBays stupid estimator stated and it's just an idiot buyer

I was going to message the buyer but I'm not, no reason to have any interaction documented, for the fact they can't count to 4 idiots

They paid on Tuesday and needed it I guess FRIDAY, I mean if they needed it so fast they obviously did not read any of the shipping terms and didn't send me one email, how stupid can you get
