If you sell the right products you will get bids within 24 hrs, I guess the trick here is to check out what is selling like crazy on those 1 day auctions and then you have a good idea of what to list yourself, never tried those shorter term auctions myself but others on here have.

Some things must do really well over that shorter timeframe and that's why it is still available, not something I've ever tried myself I have to admit but there are others on here that have.
I need to try those 1 day auctions I actually got a real good deal on a watch that way the guy took his sweetass time to mail the f'n thing but you get the idea probably lost out on some
