How do I close the case without contacting ebay

Buyer opened a case against me and wanted to return the item. I accepted the return request. However when I contacted the buyer to return the item she told me that she has decided to keep the item. I asked her to close the case but she did not respond. The time period ebay says she have to return the item has passed. The buyer wrote some incriminating message when she opened the request. I shipped out the item with my real info and she basically googled me and probably also did background check on me. So I can't contact ebay. Also the ebay account is in a guy's name and I am a female, so that is also another issue. I just moved into a new city, and don't know any male here. The buyer is the same city as me. The only reason I am bothered by this case is that paypal put the money on hold since Feb 13th. The money is a lot for me. Please help?..

Yes ebay message. I contacted her through ebay message to remind her to return the item, and she replied that she has decided to keep the item. I could have contacted her through the opened case, but I could not, once I accepted the return request...
