Default Return of damaged item

User got the item, said it's a phake, and decided to return it. Ok, no problem, happens. He took the photos showing evidences (item looks a bit different in some parts), I agreed for return. But when I opened the package from him, I was shocked. Everything was literally destroyed. Each item inside was severely damaged, and had "phake" written on it I understand that the guy was disappointed, but omg... he tried to teach me a lesson? Have you ever encountered such situations? It just made my day

He could just be following advice from eBay/Paypal. I forgot which company it is, but ones of them has a policy to destroy counterfeit items instead of just sending them back. I think it's Paypal, but I could be wrong.

You seem very proud to be selling counterfeits, maybe you should keep it to yourself if that is your line of business. It's not necessarily a bad thing, and each to their own, as long as it's not something harmful like medicines, but you shouldn't keep advertising to everyone that you do.

exactly, he was trying to teach you a lesson, he knows ebay rules inside out it seems, as alot of buyers would worry about doing that, in case they could not get their money back.

the destroy item rule is different, you do not send back those items, you just send proof of destruction eg. photo to ebay and return not required.

Well, it was a generic item, not something that was intended to fool someone. I don't even know how a real one looks like. Now I know. But destroying the item was funny

I know, some people want the world for 1 penny....

I had similar, and it was a misunderstanding too, the real thing was several times more money. The buyer said I thought it would be such and such, this is the premium brand worth blah blah, so I said to the buyer, so you were trying to rip me off then? why would I sell you something worth so much for that low price? hard to say if they are greedy, stupid or just a mistake sometimes...we know our product range, maybe a buyer does not check out the range on offer properly?

Yup, they buy stuff like 3 times cheaper than RRP, and cry afterwards. For free, of course. Well, seems like operating losses, will go ahead.
