Default Ebay Account Below Standard

Hi everyone,

I have an eBay Stealth account I can list 190 items or up to $18,500.00 per month.

today i seen that my 3 month old ebay account is " Below Standard"

i have a Notification Saying "Your seller performance status is Below Standard in the Global program." even though i already opt out of it a month ago.

here is my performance to date:

8.04% of your transactions had defects

58.56% of your transactions had tracking uploaded within handling time and validated by the carrier

112 Transactions with total sales of $7,800.42

I am trying to find out what i need to do to get my ebay account above standard before May 20th, 2015

also today is the 90 day mark where there is no more 21 day holds, I am hoping i start receiving funds instantly so i can get my account above standard.

8.04% is quite high tbh. Threshold is 5% or below.

What you need to do is sell a lot of items and ensure these items sold have minimal defects. This will help the % ODR fall. The more you sell the with fewer defects the more the ODR will fall.

But honestly you need to look at the reasons why your account is below standard. It could be a particular item being sold etc. Only you know that and need to figure it out.

ok thanks your post was very helpful, I am just wondering if it has anything to do with the global shipping program,

The 21 day hold is what's getting me, I mostly drop ship, I am wondering if the holds will fall off since i am at the 90 day mark?

If you are below standard the 21 day hold will stay until you are no longer below.

I had an account go below standard on the 20th and was restricted on the 4th.

If you survive past the 4th you need to sell fast and drop shipping isn't going to help

Okay, gonna be harsh here... sorry in advance. I hope I'm wrong, but I've been here, and I can tell you how it went for me...

Mathematically...

8% of 112 is 9 dings... to get the account below 5% you need to sell another 89 items ( a total of 201 items at 9 defects, to get your defect rate down to around 4.5% ) by May 20th... with NOT A SINGLE ADDITIONAL DEFECT FOR ANY REASON! Looking at your history, you can't do it. In that time, if you continue as you have been, you'll get another 7/8 defects.

Usually when you fall below standard, around the 1st - 5th of the month they'll cut your selling limit about in half because you're below standard, and you won't be able to sell 89 units even if you give them away for free because your limit will be less than that.

And 58% on time shipping... I'm doubting they're going to release those holds any time soon, this account looks like it is sinking fast and anyone smart is expecting you to cut and run with the money leaving lots of unhappy customers just as soon as they shut you down.

And what does receiving funds have to do with filling orders? ( as if I don't know... ) People want their stuff. They paid you up front. Your PP holding the money issues shouldn't be their problem.

You need to get like 100 feedbacks to raise your DSR. Or your account is screwed.

ok, I do have 45 Buyers that haven't left feedback, I will send them a friendly message asking them to leave feedback.

also i was thinking if i listed something cheap for sale, such as some wallpaper i can get feedback that way, would that work?

No feedback counts the same as 100% positive and all 5 stars! Don't ask for feedback! This very well might INCREASE your overall defect rate.

You don't need more feedback, you need more SALES! FAST!

And, once again, you need to start prepping for probable disaster.

And I think wallpaper might be a high-risk category, it's used mostly by scammers who try to pump up their numbers fast to look legit and make a couple of big hits and grab the money and run before they get shut down.

Defects are a percentage of total number of sales not total feedback. You want to boost the number of sales that have 0 defects,

Forget about positive feedback, negative feedback, the system is now based on defect Percentages of your total number of sales

How do you get a defect without feedback? Just on basic return
counts or amount of returns? How about when they cancel?

That's the whole point - no feedback, your transaction count goes up, there are no possible defects, the transaction automatically counts as 5 stars.
