I do not believe that you will get nicked with a defect if the BUYER closes the case as resolved. HOWEVER, I AM NOT 100% SURE ABOUT THIS. Amazon has changed their policies a couple of time since they instituted the "Account Health" metrics. But if that is your only problem, I do not think it will be a big deal.
As long as you don't have very many cases, you should be fine. Also,make sure to answer everyone in a timely manner, because any correspondence where it takes you more than 24 hours to respond will count against you and from what I have seen, that one requirement is tripping up a lot of people.
