Activity: 0% Longevity: 50% | | Item listed but 0/0 selling limit??..help please
Now im starting to pull my hair out..
Opened EBay/pp stealth and linked them 2 days ago.
Today I just went and listed elec monitor on BIN listing and eBay message "congrats you have listed your first item", so I went back into my eBay selling section and over there it shows items listed 0 and selling allowance 0, YET the section underneath where it shows active listings, the listing is showing as running BUT just not searchable just yet as only just listed.
What does this mean for me?
I used vcc for pp, confirmed eBay fees to be deducted from pp, just entered pin sent from eBay to my phone and everything seemed to be just right.
Im lost now and losing hope, please tell me where I screwed up and if this is salvagable.

Might just be glitch if it actually allowed you to list the item.
Give it some time and check again.
If yous till have 0/0/ limits you may as well call ebay to try to get some selling limits since at that point you will have nothing to lose.

I dread what questions they may ask and knowing me I mess up on it. Prefer to know the errors of my way if that was the cause.

As for browsing, I did 3 or 4 searches and also a search on item I wanted to list ( as someone mentioned its good to let eBay see your viewing similar items your about to sell for price ideas).
Item was listed as BIN at £14 and was smart energy monitor so not high risk.
Account was opened approx 7_10 days ago, linked to paypal 2 days ago and item listed today.

If you haven't verified PayPal then the odds of getting 0/0 are high

Can you explain what you mean by verifying paypal? I added vcc from entropay, put details into pp in cc section and clicked add card and thats it. Pp accepted it and there was NOTHING more for me to do so im confused when you say if I verified it or not.

Adding a bank account = verifying paypal.
If you don't verify the paypal the odds of 0 selling limits are high these days.

Thats just great... So we have some members here stating they never added vcc/cc or even bank accts and they were fine, some only adding vcc and again no probs, and then theres me adding vcc only and getting 0/0 limit because of the possibilty that I didnt add a bank acct.
The whole purpose I went through the stealth method was to AVOID adding bank acct until there was a few sales in and everything looked fine so as not to burn a bank acct so soon.
Just Smiles, thanks, please just answer this :
If I open another eBay acct, is it safe to link it to the pp acct?
Is there a way of checking eBay seller limit BEFORE linking up a pp acct to it?
If I add bank acct to pp now, and verify it, will eBay seller limit update automatically or does it mean by pp acct is now wasted?

I don't want to step on anyone's toes but I find ageing the account first helps avoid the 0/0. I get very few of these probably one a month and I only use VCC's like the OP and add a bank account when the account is established.
By ageing I mean browsing different items in different categories, bidding on items you don't have a chance of winning, £20 on a Rolex or £50 on an I-phone 6 and sometimes asking questions of the seller.
You need to make four or fiver browsing sessions per account before you list a low risk item, DVD (Not Disney) CD or piece of jewellery. I browse for two to three weeks before I even think of listing and keep a track of how long I spend browsing on a new account.
I tend to find that a minimum of 120 minutes over four or five sessions does the trick, different times and different lengths.
Always use 1 Ebay and 1 Paypal and never link them in any way.
OP- I would add the bank account now and verify it and try and relist the item you may find that you get more than the 10 / £650 limit.

To add if adding a bank account is a problem, you're worried about risking it, then add a VBA instead. It works the same and lessens your chance of lowered selling limits.
I see you read eBay Stealth. Thanks.

OP:
You can do whatever you would like, but accounts with 0/0 limits aren't really a big deal.
Call eBay and act like a new member who's just trying to get rid of junk around your house. 9/10 times the rep with have sympathy for you and give you a larger than average starting selling limit.
Link in my sig explains in detail and has MANY testimonials that verify this does work.

The OP is in the UK, he cannot add a VBA. He is talking about eBay UK.
OP - in the UK if you have bought an account and it is already VERIFIED, then browsing on it before listing is required to build cookies and history.
If you have made the account yourself, just adding a VCC and turning the account into a seller account, there is a VERY HIGH chance you will get 0/0 selling limits. You need to add a bank account to verify the PayPal before turning it into a seller to avoid this happening.
GOA - the OP again isn't in the US so calling eBay to confirm identity etc etc isn't relevant.

OP, what Callidus and just smile are saying in their above posts is spot on. Much of the other advice given relates to US accounts.

Add a bank account to your paypal. Then click on request higher selling allowance on your ebay summary page. It will ask you to link your verified paypal account, follow the instructions and its done.
You should then start with 10 or 25 item limit.
For future reference,
If you verify the paypal with a bank account, link it to your ebay. THEN turn your ebay in to a sellers account, you will not get 0/0 limits.

Thanks to ALL of you for your advice.
My question to you is, do you really think now is a good time to add my own bank details to it and be sure that requesting higher limit will work OR would it be better to create ANOTHER eBay /PP acct and add it to that so I have made sure I have done it right this time ?

Forgot to ask.. If I was to remove a user acct from my tablet completely and then ADD new user acct, would this new user acct be cookie/flash free ?
Reason being I can ONLY add up to max of 3 ACCTS on tablet at a time.
