Default eBay charges FVF on items you end earily with no sales WTH!!!

Hi I had a iPhone 6+ I listed for sale and sold it to a buyer and he was given me the run around on paying so I relisted in just in case cause I needed it sold well he paid today and I went and took down the listing on ebay I hit cancle bids and ended it as items no longer for sell then I goto pay my fees and ebay charged me 4.60 FVF and 1.00 what the hell how can there be a FVF when there was ended with 0 bids and I didn't sell it. is this new to ebay cause I don't recall getting charged in the past to end my listing early

Ebay changed the policy last year, if you cancel an auction before the end you will be charged fees.

I havent read the policy since its inception, but i think you get 1 cancelled auction for free, per year. After that you pay the fees for whatever the bid was at.

Wow I had absolutely no idea. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I am assuming this is just for auctions? I have to say if this is real that is freaking b.s.


Update:
Doing some research I found out that apparently if you end an auction with no bids then there is no FVF charged. If you end an active listing with bids then you are charged a FVF.
