Default IS it worth contacting ebay for this?

I have had 4 negative and 2 neutral on a big account this month, all because I went abroad and put m holiday settings on, with out of office response.

All 6 feedbacks plus a load of low DSRs and opened cases (now all closed) were to do with me having the settings on. IT was the buyers who didnt see the message ebay put up before they buy. Most even admitted that they did infact see it.

It's really bummed me out because I genuinely give great service and have had 100% positive on this account at about 600 feedback. It sucks so much that I did all I could but am being punished for going away.

Is it worth messaging ebay and explaining the situation? Has anyone else any experience with this?

Hmmm possibly or if the buyers admit they are wrong get them to revise there feedback.
I personally never sell items I cannot dispatch within 24/48 hours as no matter how clear you try to make it buyers still expect there item yesterday once they have paid.

Gnerally not a lot eBay will do about it

You can ask the buyers to alter their feedback though with a revision request, just make sure if you do that that your not wasting the revision request as you only get so many per year.

I woud focus on the neg feedbacks

Thanks for the replies.

The problem is that I have used my revision requests, where people have jumped the gun, left feedback (eg item lost in the post but didn't contact me) but were happy to change when I resolved it.

So frustrating!

What volume are u selling? I think (I maybe wrong) the requests are not easily reached if u have a higher volume cos I never reached mine although I never kept count, if your volume is really low and you get a lot of INR and other problems from buyers then maybe there are other underlying problems you need to look at?

But yes, its frustrating, people seems to want everything for nothing nowadays...

High volume. About 15-50 items a day. Thats the positive thing when I get something like this. I get so many brilliant feedbacks it helps dilute the bad ones at least.

Why do you get bad ones? A problem worth targeting...

Have to take the prepararions for holidays a step further. Avoid having active listings if on vacation.

Never rely on buyers reading the obvious. If you can not get a buyer to read the listing correctly, they will never grasp simple facts like a holoday notice.

Been there, Have the tee shirt.

If you have anything in writmg from those buyers, then try ebay for assistance.

Push ebay to help you.

Its always down to post, which I simply cant justify tracking, for both time and financial reasons.

Its the classic situation of people messaging me on the day of the 'ebay estimate' with item not received.

Never pointless if the account is alive....

I would fight simply because I feel this is fair
