Buyer asking for return. Says wrong item sent. Advice needed!
Hey there folks, how are you doing. I hope its better than me right now :P. Here is my problem for the day. I would appreciate your expert advice.
I sold a LONG SLEEVE soccer/futbol jersey on January 10th with Signature Confirmation. A $110 jersey at that. The buyer picked it up from the post office January 20th since he wasn't able to sign for it. Today, February 2nd, I received a return request saying that he received the wrong item, and that he received a short sleeve jersey. THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE! I had pictures of the actual jersey taken by me, not the stock photos, in the listing. I immediately suspected he is trying to send me back a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ jersey. He sent me very blurry pictures of the same kind of jersey, but short sleeve. I asked him to send me pictures of the back of that tag, easiest way to authenticate a jersey in my experience. Just run the UPC code, but he is refusing to do it.
Do you guys think I will be able to win this case since it took him almost two weeks to "realize" the jersey is a short sleeve jersey, and I had pictures in the listing of the actual jersey. Also, he is refusing to send proof that the jersey he has is actually authentic?
Thank you for your time,
Kris
P.S.: I just received a message from him in very broken English. It appears that he is asking me for a partial refund now. I am pretty sure that this is against eBay policies.
