Activity: 0% Longevity: 54% | | Ebay Buyer Account BANNED!?
Hi Guys,
I had my ebay buyer account banned today.
I don't sell on ebay only Amazon but I buy a lot on ebay. It was banned as a I opened a lot of no arrival cases as a lot of the items never arrived.
Anyway I was wondering if I create a fresh ebay account can I ship to my old address but a variation of it or will the buyer accounts be linked?
Do I need to create a new paypal account - how can I purchase the items via paypal e.g £1k to £5k per day of purchases?
Thanks!!
|
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

How can you purchase £1k to £5k per day on eBay and not having your items delivered?
Are the parcels not treaceable? ...they all get lost? ...despite they are all getting lost you want to keep the old address?
...something's wrong in here...

You need to figure out why your mail is not being delivered before attempting to make another account and make more purchases

It sounds like you may have been trying to take advantage of your countries lack of tracking for many items.

Tracking is great in the uk, but it tends to be quite pricey so most ebay sellers send items untracked.
What the OP doesnt realise is royal mail will investigate him for fraud if there are to many claims made against his address for non receipt.
Not worth £5000 fine or worse...

Not worth £5000 fine or worse... | Hi - claims were opened because they didnt arrive!
I order thousands of items each month and so some are bound to go missing.
Many of these items are from sellers who for example have forgotten to post or gone on holiday

...something's wrong in here... | Hey - most of the parcels do arrive however some do not
Also some claims were for not as described e.g buying a new book and receiving one in bad condition
This does happen quite a lot based on the sheer amount of ordering we do
Ebays system flagged this up due to the quantity of claims opened without actually looking at the fact that we buy huge quantities of items so as a percentage of orders its probably 0.5%..
Does anyone know the best way to create a stealth buyer account?

In your case, you can NOT use any old info from suspended accounts.
ebay UK will detect and link you.
You must start afresh...
Recommend you re-appraise your methods for buying.
Just sayin'.
Good Luck

Good Luck | cheers - in terms of delivery address though will ebay link this?
I've heard some people can re-use their address if a certain detail is changed..
or is this too risky?
Will I need to set up a new paypal and ebay account or just ebay?

I will try again.
Your current info is blacklisted.
Variations have a risk of not working.
You need to start again with a new paypal and ebay account.
Please do not think ebay are stupid. |

Please do not think ebay are stupid. | hey - I understand what you;re saying but I read on this forum from senior members the below and that ebay are not as strict as amazon in terms of delivery addresses for buyer accounts:
see here what others have said:
I have 8 stealth buyer accounts all with the same ship to address and have had zero problems. and im pretty sure my address has been backlisted several times.
and here from this forum:
Oh well if you want it for buying then you don't have to do anything just make an account with your banned ip and everything normal ebay doesn't care if suspended sellers make buyer accounts.
and here:
do it properly though, as it is important to you, follow forum advice re linking.
different options, but some have worked for me, cost effective one is variation of name and door number of address (not post code) you can then use your real card to buy, as postcode is all you need to pass avs usually.....ideas are new house name, or put flat or unit and then door number to break it up, think along those lines...as long as it looks realistic or sellers will question a weird address....
you can also use a vcc to buy with....
pobox are expensive just for buying, but an option.
or use click and collect and then you can have a non-accessible different address.

Hey, you quoted senior members not me.
I replied with what I know of the situation.
One thing you must do is not repeat the same buying problems.

Your certainly doing things the other way around buying on eBay to sell on Amazon, it is usually the other way around, people buy cheaper items of Amazon to sell on eBay. I guess it works both ways though. But it has obviously created big problems for you getting your buying account banned. Those are serious amounts of stock you are buying from Amazon 1k to 5k a day.
You are going to need more than 1 buying account to purchase that much stock clearly buying 7k to 35k a week and then having some items not arriving and having to put in claims for them will attract unwelcome attention having from £350 to £1,750 in missing items. If you are claiming for around about those figures as missing each week that isn't working and has resulted in your ban.

A few buyer accounts is right...
You say youre buying between £1000-£5000 per day. Lets say on average £2500. That's about £1,000,000 per year. Its enough for you to claim a fraction of that as 'not received' to be investigated for fraud.
And in your case I would definitely NOT be using the same info.

I am able to create a new paypal account and new ebay one fine.
the problem is which shipping address to ship them to. I only have a limited amount of addresses which I can trust that much stock going to.
Would there be problems I if send them to the original banned buyer account address but make a variation of it and the name.
could I just do this and minimise on the claims and take the loss if an item doesnt arrive or would this be too risky?
