Default Buyer abused return again...

I have a buyer who opened a return case for an item not as described. I have no problem accepting such return. However, this person have used the BRAND NEW item and admitted through messages as well. The item is quite dirty now and for sure it will degrade the value of it as well. When I contacted ebay to appeal this case, they're saying that in order for them to appeal the case, the buyer have to admit that he have caused the damage..wtf???? what upset me more was when i questioned this buyer to see what type of environment this item was exposed to, he would say he doesn't know and I should take it back to the retail store and return it... though this person has 0 feedback, theres no doubt he has many stealth accounts and know the system quite well to abuse it like this...

I think you should set your buying parameters tighter.

Seller controls sales always.

What was the value of the item? That always determines how I set who buys or who does not.

The issue here is the buyer filed it as 'item not described' and that forces the seller to automatically take all blame, be it true or false. :(

Yes this is a very common tactic among buyers so the seller takes all blame and expenses and the buyer gets a free item basically.

Theres no doubt this person has many accounts like some of us. I wouldn't be surprise if he's a competitor. These type of folks are the reason why I sometimes hesitate to make sales to those who are also in the same city/state.

I deal with these buyers on a daily basis. I've incorporated such losses into my business plan.

After giving ebay many calls to speak to a rep regarding to appealing the case, I did managed to reach one who managed to open an appeal for me but it was all a lies....I wait 2 days and still nada. Called in and was told no such thing existed and case is officially closed. Because they opened a case when I called in to report on the condition of the item since day 1, I was not able to issue the refund to the buyer. This ticked him off more and now leaving me a negative feedback. I called in request for the fb to be removed but denied as well... sad sad day for me....felt like i just paid to be molested and get spat on afterward...
