VERO, vero go away
Well, I've just been slapped with a VERO "Trademark Violation - Unauthorized Item" charged. They removed some of the completed listings and I just removed the rest of my active listings once I got this notice as I didn't want to risk losing my account. I'd a 100% positive rating with over 500 reviews on one 6 yr old account. Poof, now it's all gone.
What I would like to know from you experts is, how does the Vero owner tell if I'm selling foofoo or non-foofoo stuff? I mean just with pictures without physically inspecting the actual item is not going to tell you everything. I KNOW for sure that my items were all authentic but yet got the take down anyway. And what frustrates me the most is, how is it I've seen blatant ⊗⊗⊗⊗ on eBay and yet the sellers continue to rake in the dough without any kind of VERO take downs?
I know the saying" it's sooner or later the foo-foo sellers will get taken down". Not true. I only had 10 listings. I can find 3 other power sellers listing more than 50 products, some of which I KNOW they were ⊗⊗⊗⊗ but YET they had over thousands of sales?? Am I missing something or are the brand protection specialists are "friends" with the sellers so they take down one and not another??
I'm just upset that they choose to go after a small seller with legit stuff and while letting others with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ continue selling. I've been doing this for years, getting random takedowns and having to take time and energy to fight my case. I'm SOOOO beyond tired. The eBay marketplace is so unfairly set up with this stupid Vero program. I try to run a legit business, offering top notch customer service and products but yet time again I've to deal with this nonsense of getting Vero-ed while other dishonest sellers get away scot free.
Sorry for the rant....I think over the years of having to worry about every negative feedback, worrying that 1 message that pops up is going to be a return or some bad news, worrying if someone's going to do a bait & switch and worrying about Vero take downs and worry if eBay's just going to send me a MC999 again for something unforseen. I just cannot deal with this anymore. I have done over 900 sales over 2 accts with a 100% positive rating over 6 years and it's exhausting......
