HELP EBAY SELLER LIMIT!!! Wont Let me RELIST

Hi, on my stealth account, almost 2 months old which is at 5/500. I sold something worth $350 and the buyer never paid. I did the cancel the transaction blah blah and now when I try to relist it, ebay says I will be over my limit. Should I call ebay? Ugh. I feel like if a transaction was cancelled I should be allowed to sell within my original limit? Please help.

Even if the transaction was cancelled, it still counts as a sale. Every Month the limits reset so I don't see why a sale 2 months ago will affect this months limits.

I think the account is 2 months old @MM78 as opposed to the sale taking place 2 months ago.

Out of curiosity, what cancellation reason did you pick?

I know in the UK when a sale is cancelled + refunded due to the buyer changing thier mind etc., it goes back into your monthly selling allowance.

Or maybe because the buyer didn't even pay to start with, that may have influenced it not going back into your monthly allowance.

If you call in, they will raise your limit by the amount that you need to be able to relist.

When you call in for limit increases the questions are fairly standardized and always easy to answer. Usually goes something like this:

You: "I need higher selling limits, please"

Ebay: "Ok no problem, I can help you with that. May I ask what type of items you will be selling?"

You: "Mostly just items from around the house" (note: this is how it's commonly recommended you answer that question around here, but most of the time I tell the rep we import all of our inventory directly from China. They don't care as long as you aren't dropshipping.)

Ebay: "Alright, and you have all of the items you plan to sell in your possession?" (This is the part where they make sure you don't plan to dropship)

You: "Yes of course. We keep lots of inventory on hand"

After that they will take a look at your sales, and will usually raise either your item or dollar limit by 50%, depending on what type of raise you need.

It's that simple. They don't usually hit you with database questions unless the account is in some sort of trouble or they have a reason to believe the account has been compromised.

Oh I forgot to mention, if you do call in make sure you first go to the "request higher selling limits" page and get a code to call in with. Also make sure you call from the number attached to the account. Otherwise you risk being asked hard to answer questions.

They'll most likely ask for your zipcode and phone number.

If your really worried, just wait 3 more days till 1st of the month, at which point your allowances will reset.
