Take a couple books off the shelf and take your own pictures, don't use the stock photo. Just look for things around the house.

Digital items are risky and aren't advised for a long term solution

As are $1 items.

More ideal, imo, to offer a variety of el cheapo items in the price range of $1 to $8.

Variety is the spice of life

I go and buy items at staples, target, walmart, and home depot that range in price from $5 to about $12. I usually take a loss of between $1.50 and $4.00 for each item. Definitely worth it to build seller feedback and make my stealth account more solid and trustworthy in the eyes of ebay. An example of such an item would be a Black and Decker screwdriver.

What I did on one of my accounts, I literally started out sellling sparkly paperclips which costed 0.05 cents each. sold 100 (for 0.99 each of course) of them, got 80 feedbacks, then i went on and sell other higher priced items.... shipping costs next to nothing with these paper clips. Also, you can sell a popular recipe, just print it out and send it to the buyer. Theres some ideas for you

Popular $1 dollar item to sell....I can name so much off top....However, if you are only looking for quick feedbacks and dont want to spend much money just sell the old magazines or newspaper you have at your house for couple of cents and wont cost u much to ship it because u can ship it "media mail" usps....Just saying...Good luck!

0.99 cent items on a new account???

Good luck.

OP not meant to be rude but if someone knew a POPULAR item to sell and help them out do you really think they would post it online.

That item would be dried up by noon tomorrow with a million people selling the exact same item.

Yard sale junk is the way to go.
