Default Account Past Due.... How long can I keep listing?

My account just went Past Due on the 15th. How long can I keep listing as a Past Due Account before my account goes On Hold? I obviously want to have new auctions going up through Xmas. I can pay the account in full after the New Year.... just gotta get through XMAS.

Here's the messed up part of it. I am actually current, but eBay shows me as Past Due. The paypal payment that they tried to pull was declined, but I paid the balance in full before midnight on the 15th (my statement runs to the 15th, not 31st). So, the new statement came out on the 17th, and eBay shows that I have to pay that balance in full to be current. That invoice is only a few days old! Any suggestions on what I can and should do? Your help is greatly appreciated.

.... a bit of history, I've been on eBay for a long time. Feedbacks over 30,000 between a few accounts. I'm not a new guy, but I've just not come across this problem yet.

You will get 15 -18 days of listing allowed past the invoice date. At the point your card card with be declined twice.

Now go in the account and make a one dollar payment and authorize the same card on file. This will allow you an additional 3 weeks of listings.

If you know your billing cycles to can list for 65 days for the payment of one dollar.

If you wish to continue to list at this point you have to pay all fees past and current.

I believe this to be one of Modee tricks

Hope this answers your question.

in anticipation of going restricted, i have scheduled a bunch of listings for a month away. i can still edit them but at least they are scheduled. this has worked for me before so that way i could sell a few more things to cover the fees.

be sure to pay the past due before the invoice is sent. once it is you gotta pay the whole amount. I play that game every month so if my account gets suspended they don't get paid.

I love it!
And all I ever did was stiff them and start over.
One of the current accounts I have just got suspended for $2400...wish I had read this earlier so I could have stuck them for even more.
I'm really not that bad...they are the ones who created the monster

lakeman, it means being one month behind or in arrears with the fees. So instead of paying the full fees, pay only part of what is due, ie past due & go on going on

Does it still work to make a partial payment on the amount that is about to be past due to buy one's self an extra month?

Specifically, my invoice date is the first of each month. So tomorrow, my invoice will be past due. If I pay a small amount toward the total balance, will that work to push back the negative consequences of having an unpaid invoice that is past due?

It won't avoid the block that eB puts if an account is past due but any bit helps - when would you pay the rest?

Well - in your shoes - I would pay the fees to avoid suspension of selling privileges asap. Even if you pay only part of it, eB could place a restriction - just saying

Just to follow up - I paid $5 (on the 30th) toward my $125 in fees that were due on the 1st. Thus far, things are going forward as normal, with no messages / limits / restrictions about not paying my fees.

Holding my breath, but hopefully I'll still have until the next time my invoice date rolls around....

Latest update:

Yesterday (the 5th). I got a message with this title:

MC999 EBI NOTICE: eBay Registration On Hold: Non Payment

And can't list or bid on anything until I pay my fees.

Just wanted to keep the info up to date.

Does anyone know how long an account can be on hold (for owing fees) before your account gets suspended?

Angry Re: Account Past Due.... How long can I keep listing?

When your account is reinstated do you have to wait the 90days again for payments to clear immediately?

Ebay canceled my account -'no longer a registered user' within 24 (I think it was 22 hours) after they sent the 'account on hold'. ironically I was just logging on to send payment when I saw it.

YMMV, a buyer had juster commplained about the false positive feedback comment I left (the one warning other sellers that the buyer was a fraudster) the comment had been up their for months after the buyer 1. asked for a free item, 2. made false claims and negative feedback when I refused and 3. still got to keep the refund even though I proved the item had arrived and was new.) I had forgotten about it. but I got the false positive warning and old warning all in the same 10 minute period. then suddenly my account was closed. like WTH??
