Default Help with indefinite restriction

Hi, I just found your site on google and thought that it would be a good place to get some thoughts and opinions from experts on what I should do next...

Well a few years ago I had my eBay account suspended for some reason and they asked me to send in a signed document and proof of ID. I did this and was back online within the month. At the same time a family members account was also suspended for being associated with mine. That family member didn't bother sorting it out and left it as it was.

Now quite recently my account has been "fully and indefinitely restricted". As far as I can tell it is different from a suspension as I can still access my account without any problems - just can't buy/sell, which is what I want to do .

So my question is if it is a good idea to get my family members account reinstated and just use that one. Last time it was suspended because my account was suspended. But this time my account is only "restricted", not suspended, they may not react the same way this time.

- Any thoughts?

Longman - you do need to get a fresh new ebay account(Aspkin’s guide - Get Back on ebay), in order to stay in the game,
And cut to the chase. True to the matter, Ebay sees anyone with suspended account as an eyesore.

You + a family members suspended for being associated (sharing) with the same IP address.
Click this to see your IP Address & about your location.
IP Address Locator - Enter an IP address to find its location - Lookup Country Region City etc

"fully and indefinitely restricted" = Your eBay registration has been suspended indefinitely with no plans for reinstatement.

Thanks for having me Ruby & thanks for the quick reply musicman.

I must say that quite a few things have changed since mine & my family members account were suspended a few years ago. We both lived in the same house & now no longer live there. So when my current account was "fully and indefinitely restricted" it was under a different address. They want proof of ID + address for the old address to get my family members account reinstated, perhaps I can just pretend that we still live there. I still live in the same city but in a different area so if eBay use something like that IP address locater it will still say the correct city. And the new IP number can be explained by a different ISP provider.

- What do you thiknk?
