Would a RomossSsense 4 power bank External Battery charger be considered a risky item to sell?

absolutely YES!

anything phone or electronic related is a high risk item. Other categories are also considered risky. Search the forum on what to sell as first item there are threads about it.

It depends. On eBay, there are different types of risk.

Anything that can be easily phaked or where counterfeits are mass-produced can be risky to sell. Examples would be expensive gold coins or rare coins, jewelry containing expensive gems like diamonds, etc. Mass-produced counterfeits include Rolex and other expensive watches, designer purses such as Louis Vuiton, designer clothing or accessories, DVD's, razor blades, as-seen-on-tv items - especially those advertised in infomercials such as the P90X, BeachBody, etc.

Even if your items are 100% authentic, it can be risky as the brand owners may try to take your listings down through the VERO program.

Other risky items can include things that can easily break down, including most electronics. Refurbished items can also be a problem unless you know for certain that they work.

You CAN sell any of these things, it is just that if you get customer complaints or draw the attention of the VERO members you could have a serious problem.

Here's another weird risk-related thing. I bought a Mifi 2200 as suggested by MM78. The seller ended up getting a bunch of negative feedback after I received my order, and I asked him about it. He said Paypal & eBay considered what he was selling to be very high risk and they had holds beyond the usual 21 days, with no 90-days and we remove the general hold policy. So he was moving to Amazon from eBay and preparing to stop selling there.

Sounds like he knew the risk of the electronics involved...the negative feedback is weird though...what kind of comments?

almost EVERYTHING is a risk selling. It's your option to see if you want to take that risk and sell the item.

I'd prefer selling used clothes first on new accounts then going onto riskier stuff after a couple sales.

Cords, Cables, Cases, anything that has to do with Phones will still be high risk, also that category has a starting limit of 4, so at the end of the day your still not moving forward fast enough....unless your fine at 4 pcs per month/per account.

Electric items are high risk for counterfeit reasons, but also the obvious risks that go along with dodgy wiring setups that could cause nightmare scenario's.

Few years back we bought a brand new fridge freezer just before going away on holiday for a week to the Lake District, my husband came back to go to a radio convention at the local uni so called back in at home only to find the fridge freezer had blown a fuse and was leaking the poisonous gas they use to keep everything chilled, throughout the house, he had to unplug it and open windows quickly.

Go to an outlet mall and buy some items that are cheap and list them.

If you sell something 'risky' and it gets taken down, does it affect your account negatively or is it just taken down? I tried to sell Microsoft Office (legit retail box) and it was just taken down but no MC code or grevious message attached.
