Did I just screw myself? Cookies question
Okay, dealing with amazon but figure it's the same in regards to my question.
So, I had two stealth amazon accounts. I found out today one they nabbed me because the got my mac address (the software i was using to spoof mac address wasn't spoofing after all). So I tried to log in to my account but it wouldn't let me. After trying multiple times it finally gave me a prompt that said something like "your computer is banned...etc." it actually said "your computer banned". Anyway, i cleared my cache and I logged out of my wifi that I used to access this account. I then popped in my laptop card which i use for my other account - logged in fine - posted an item for sale and logged out. i then noticed that I HAD NOT CLEARED MY COOKIES!
My questions is - number one i didn't even get to log in. So maybe the didn't get me on my old account - but am i screwed?
Here's the thing. Let's say they did get me logging into my banned account using my wifi. Cookies are there. Then I logged in using laptop card - different ip, different mac so to speak (from what i'm getting with a laptop card they can't trace mac, if so i would've been banned already)....
But the point is - since I used my laptop card - although I didn't clear my cookies - will they somehow be able to link this?
I was freaked out at first but now i'm thinking it's impossible for them to track it since I am using a different router (card) and ip (card).
Anyone? Please explain. Thanks. |
