I know there is no reason to reinvent the wheel, I just wanted to know if any other tech savy members were familiar with the software. As I said, I've been using it for years and it basically allows you to do the same thing without leaving your main desktop. It's also pretty small @ <500K.
You can keep cookies/flash objects for each walled off version of Firefox to make eb/pp feel nice and comfy even with random IPs & without any cross contamination. You can also have different individual browser settings (ex. 1 saved login password) for each Firefox and nothing ever gets outside the 1 folder's quarantine zone.
The original purpose of it was to browse the web or run a program without polluting the rest of windows with unwanted files all over the place.
But there is nothing wrong with the KISS method. |
