Post Ebay tracks message wording

Juste a note for people, I got this message once I sent about paying me directly another way:

Your message wasn’t sent because we’ve noticed that it might suggest a purchase outside of eBay.

We realize that you may not have known this, but eBay members should not use the site to contact each other about offsite sales. This policy is in place to make sure that you are covered by eBay protection programs and feedback policies.

Please edit your message and remove anything that indicates buying or selling outside of eBay.

Just have to be creative in your wording next time. There are ways to beat the bots.

Best to call your buyer/customer directly.

For talk directly by your email attached to the ebay/paypal account. That is my way of doing it.

What exactly did you say? Did you mention money orders or include your phone number or email address?

I once did this to avoid bots picking up text in my listing: I wrote my desired text in Photoshop (or any program like Paint would work) and saved it as a photo...then inserted it into my description on eBay. There's no way the bots could pick up on something like text within a photo

There is actually a new option which i just noticed

You can now attach a picture to any message you send

Im not sure if its for your logo, letterhead or what?

Anyway I used it once and the buyer didnt seem to acknowledge seeing it
(they asked for a technical drawing)
