Only time will tell. Proceed as normal but definitely be setting up accounts in the meantime to get ready for any accounts going down. eBay does not automatically suspend just for this 1 IP linking incident. It takes in to account a lot of other factors, so there is no definite answer to your question, only time will tell.

Welcome to the forums - 1 time is low likelihood of causing problems so, that being said, be ultrasure to avoid repeating this problem.

If you are selling risky items or other problematic sales...well then, there could be other reasons IF it goes down (hopefully not)

You SHOULD be fine, like fox20c mentioned it takes a few red flags to suspend your account. You should be fine, just don't do it again.

If you are not logging your IPs with your diff user accounts, you should start. It is not hard to set-up, and it is a easy habit to get use to.

Hi guys! Quick question. If I change MAC address for router/cable for each ebay account user, it will give me diff. IP address? Can i use this method w/ diff. window user w/o any problem? Do i still need to keep track of IPs? Your advice/input will be highly appreciated!

Bots are not self learning. They only ban on the predefined rules. However all factors can matter when accounts are gone under full manual reviews.

eBay is unlikely to suspend you simply by sharing IP alone. BUT, combine that with other factors and you will have a problem.

Just be more careful next time.

Are you sure ebay does not employ machine learning? They sure have the budget to do so.

EDIT- Just realized this thread is from 2014

You can certainly get away with sharing the same IP on more than one account, but it's bad practice.

As I mentioned above, simply using the same IP address as other account(s) by iteself is unlikely to cause a hard link, but that combined with some other common factor will cause problems for you.

LOL, You giving Ebay way too much credit here. Now Amazon, they are more likely to use machine learning.

From what I have gathered, Ebay wont link two accounts just because they were from the same IP. But if those two accounts have a lot of similarities ( type of listings, etc) then there is a possibility of them getting linked.
